Why lifelong learning is like a rainbow

The thing is, with rainbows and, really, life, that one cannot fully grasp them… Maybe that is why the myth has it, that at the end of the rainbow is a pot of gold. The snag being that we can never actually reach the end of a rainbow – just like we never really get to the end of learning. Perhaps that is why some clever dude decided to call it LIFELONG. Of course we could argue, that learning is a LOT og lot of things and even though we spontaneously learn all our lives – to say that everybody ‘lifelong learns’ is a bit ‘western’. I mean, in the jungles of South America, in the poorest districts of USA, do you really mean to say that lifelong learning is a real option?
